![]() Symmetra just spams E whenever a teammate walks by. Torbjorn has a version of this where he can create armor packs for himself and his team, but to do so, he has to go around collecting scrap, which is a more interactive experience. She has the power to give teammates shields with E, they used to be 50 HP, but now they’re 25, and though I get that it’s useful, it’s a very boring ability. Symmetra’s problems are with her shielding ability and her main weapon. I love her turret traps (setting up a kill room with six turrets is some of the most fun you can have in Overwatch), and her teleporter is a unique, game-changing special. ![]() This is another character I want to like, but I just find it so dull to play her. So that’s my temporary fix, but he needs some big, longer term overhauls as well. ![]() A well-entrenched Bastion can be hard enough to flank as is, given so many corners of the map with zero approach paths, but if you manage to get on top of him, he should not be able to instantly waste you in any direction. Obviously flanking a turret is the best way to kill it, but it’s bizarre to flank him and then have to play this silly game where you try to hop over his head while shooting him and hoping his barrel doesn’t find you. And believe me, he’s going to out DPS you.īastion needs his to lose this 360 degree spin ability. So while you still can flank him with a number of heroes from Reaper to Genji to Winston to Tracer, instead of having to uproot and run, he can simply spin and unload his cannon directly into your face for an instakill. Now, instead of a limited range of forward swivel, Bastion can spin in complete 360 circles. My biggest problem with Bastion is a change that made half of the counters to him useless. Now, he has his high damage back, but relatively low health (compared to when he had tons of armor/a recharging shield). A while ago his damage was nerfed and he was even lamer to play than usual. I think Bastion’s health-damage is actually in a pretty good place right now. While I ultimately thought that no, he shouldn’t be cut from the game (which would be very drastic), I do think he’s in need of a major overhaul that fundamentally changes his core ability to plant himself as a turret.īut something that big is not going to be accomplished in the next two weeks, so how should Bastion be fixed temporarily, at least? I would also like his underwhelming ultimate to be reworked (which is far, far worse than all the others supports) but that may be a larger issue to tackle.Įarlier this week, I wrote an entire post about how Bastion is hugely problematic to Overwatch, not just because he’s frustrating to fight against, but because he’s flat-out boring to play. Line of sight makes sense for a direct heal/buff character like Mercy, but for Zenyatta, whose low HP and mobility force him to stay in the back most of the time, it’s counter-intuitive.īlizzard needs to up his HP to at least 200-250, and remove the line of sight functionality from his orbs. ![]() Now, you have to maintain line of sight to keep the orbs going, or else they will soon snap back to you. Previously, you could just fling healing or debuff orbs on far away characters and let them do their thing. Zenyatta has literally no mobility whatsoever, and that helps him frequently get one-shot by snipers like Widowmaker or Hanzo.īlizzard has also broken the character with this new “line of sight” requirement for his orbs. He just has 150 HP, most of it shields, which is the same as a hero like Tracer, but she compensates for that with ridiculous mobility and a health regen move. Zenyatta has a few problems, namely that his HP pool is microscopic. ![]()
